In memory of Aharon Amir
14/06/2008 אלישע פורת
Boys my age, young men who had surely just shed their military uniforms, exactly like me, had published in it
their first efforts, wonderful poems and stories. I sat before the pages and imagined these novice writers marching surefootedly on the literary path. [ 3 תגובות ]

my Jerusalem Syndrome
01/01/2007 אלישע פורת
My "Jerusalem Syndrome", that emotion fever that attacks the faithful of the three large religions when they step
upon the soil of Jerusalem, befell me many years ago. Even before it was diagnosed by the learned psychiatrists. Even before it was defined and before it was granted the poetic name that reveals a little and covers a lot, "Syndrome
Jerusalem". I was hit by its punch even before it became an I.D. lineup and identification line of all the world's lunatics when they ascend to Jerusalem.

Memories from the Holocaust period
08/10/2006 בני קידר
I was born in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on September 2nd, 1936, as the fifth child of a somewhat unusual family. My father, Ben – Zion Kleinmann, of blessed memory, was born in a small village in Russia named Verecke, and I don’t know why he came to Miskolc, a city in the north of Hungary and settled there. He married and had three children. The firstborn was Aliz, two years later
Jeno, and after two more years the youngest - Flory, who was accidentally harmed by the midwife and remained limping for life. [ 14 תגובות ]

Another Act in the Mizrahi-Palestinian Tragedy
28/07/2006 Reuven Abarjel and Smadar Lavie
And now here we are, in front of the Israeli TV screen,
bombarded by the discourse of experts. The channels are
broadcasting live from studios and battlefields. Commercial
interludes are part of the show. By default the majority of
experts are Ashkenazi (European Jewish) males. They are
flanked by a handful of Mizrahi men (Oriental Jews who
immigrated to Israel mainly from the Arab World).
